About the conference

We invite you to participate in the conference held from 2 to 3 December 2024 in Krakow, organised by the AGH University of Krakow and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The event aims to present actions for internationalisation at Polish universities by presenting stories of international alumni who graduated from Polish universities and are successfully advancing their professional careers in the job market.

The conference is an opportunity to meet representatives from academia, business, administration, and organisations supporting education and international cooperation. The agenda includes presentations and debates that take a closer look at the integration of foreign alumni into the labour market and the challenges and opportunities ahead of them.

Topics

  • International alumni success stories – professional careers that began at Polish universities
  • Debate of Rectors: a discussion on the internationalisation of higher education in Poland
  • Current situation of international students at Polish universities, prospects and opportunities for increasing the attractiveness of Polish universities to foreigners
  • Discussion on the university-industry cooperation strategy in the context of increasing the number of foreign alumni and their employment

Participants

The event is addressed to academia, representatives of higher education institutions, particularly of entities specialising in international cooperation, units which create and promote the educational offer for foreigners, and also career centres. We also welcome representatives of key institutions, such as the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), the National Information Processing Institute – National Research Institute, and international alumni of Polish universities.

The project is financed from state funds granted by the Minister of Science.
