Professor Andrzej Bednarczyk

Rector of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, a renowned artist and academic teacher, and a practitioner of transmedia art. He has held a plethora of individual exhibitions around the world. In 2019, he was awarded the Gloria Artis Silver Medal for Merit to Culture.

Professor Jan Brzozowski

Head of Jagiellonian Centre for Migration Studies UJ, Head of the Department of Research on Social Change in Europe at the Jagiellonian University and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Migration Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He specialises in the analysis on social processes and their impact on contemporary European societies.

 

Professor Rafał Dańko

Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at the AGH University of Krakow, responsible for matters related to student life, scholarships, student academic and sports activity, and the student campus. A member of multiple organisations such as: Polish Foundrymen’s Association (president), World Foundry Organization (vice-president), Polish Materials Science Society, The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), USA.

Rene Helmans

Director of the Alumni Relations Office of Kozminski University in Warsaw. He is responsible for the development of relationships with alumni.

Professor Ewa Gruszczyńska

Vice-Rector for International Affairs at SWPS University. She develops international cooperation and educational programmes. She specialises in social and psychological sciences.

 

Professor Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler

A lawyer, Vice-Rector for Cooperation and International Relationsof the University of Gdańsk, Vice-Rector for Sustainability of the European University of the Seas – SEA-EU, as part of which the University of Gdańsk forms a consortium with 8 coastal universities from Cadiz, Western Brittany, Kiel, Split, Malta, Algarve, Naples, NORD. President of the University Internationalisation Commission of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities (KRUP).

Dr Wojciech Karczewski

Director of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). He used to hold managerial positions, among others, at the SWPS University and consulting companies such as PwC and EY. Doctor of Social Sciences in the field of management and quality sciences. He graduated from the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. For 18 years now, he has been managing various initiatives within the field of international cooperation, including big programmes and projects (thus far he has implemented 50 such initiatives with great success). He is an academic lecturer in subjects related to management and quantitative methods: Organisational Management, Project Management, Organisational Behaviour, Leadership Competence, Statistical Methods.

Piotr Janus

Head of the Careers Centre at the AGH University of Krakow. He supports the professional development of students and alumni. He specialises in the organisation of events related to the labour market and the preparation of young people for career challenges.

Ewa Kiszka

President of the IROs Forum and coordinator of any international activities at the Medical University of Gdańsk. A winner of the “Stars of Internationalization” competition organised by the Perspektywy Education Foundationin the category Marketing Star. A member of the EAIE (since 2000).

Anna Kiryjow-Radzka

President of the Association of PR and Promotion of Polish Universities “PRom” and PR expert at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, and WP Dissemination and Communication coordinator at UNIgreen Alliance. She promotes Polish universities internationally and supports the development of academic communication in Poland.

Dr Piotr Kępski

Director of the Department of Programmes for Institutions at the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA, responsible for the implementation of internationalisation programmes for universities and academic institutions. The Department of Programmes for Institutions supports the internationalisation of study programmes, student and employee exchanges, and education and research partnerships.

Professor Jerzy Lis

Rector of the AGH University of Krakow. He specialises in materials engineering and chemical technology. An ordinary member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 2024, he has been a vice-president of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP). For 3 years, he has been a visiting professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He holds the titles of honorary professor of the Shibaura Institute of Technology (Japan), Shymkent University (Kazakhstan), and Ivano Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Ukraine).

Liliana Lato

Director of the International Relations Office of the University of Lodz. A coordinator of international cooperation and student and academic exchange programmes.

Edyta Lachowicz-Santos

Director of Internationalisation Strategy, University of Economics in Katowice, a board member of the European Association for International Education, an expert at the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA. For years, she has been actively involved in the positioning of Polish universities as valuable partners and professionals on the international stage.

Marcin Kwiecień

Talent Acquisition Manager at ABB Poland. He is responsible for recruitment and building the employer’s brand.

Professor Dorota Niedziółka

Vice-Rector for Development and Head of the Department of Economic Geography at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. A graduate of said university, where she also obtained a doctoral degree based on her dissertation “Linking customs infrastructure with technical infrastructure in Poland.” Her postdoctoral dissertation (habilitation) was devoted to the regionalisation of energy markets. Member of the SGH Senate and the Senate Programme Commission. Her research focuses on energy security, energy markets, business destinations, economic geography, regionalisation and globalisation. She oversees the university development strategy and initiatives that strengthen its position on the education market.

Professor Marek Pawełczyk

Rector of the Silesian University of Technology. A specialist in digital signal processing, vibroacoustics, and process control. An internationally renowned scholar, long-standing president of the worldwide International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration, an organiser of 16 international congresses and conferences, a member of the scientific committees of about 70 conferences, and an editor of numerous international journals. In 2023, Professor Pawełczyk was awarded with the main prize in the Personality Category in the competition “European Universities – Alliances for the Future” organised by the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps National Agency.

Aleksandra Perkins-Oleszkowicz

Deputy Director of the AGH University Centre for International Affairs. She is responsible for the development of international student and employee exchange programmes and cooperation with universities abroad. She works to strengthen the position of the AGH University on the international academic map.

Krystyna Pietrzykowska

Head of Technology Center at Hitachi Energy which implements pioneering solutions for industrial electronics, combining advanced analytics, energy management software, hardware systems with battery-based energy storage, among many other technologies.

Dr Jarosław Protasiewicz

Director of the National Information Processing Institute – National Research Institute (OPI PIB). He fosters the development of information technologies and data analysis for public administration in Poland. An experienced researcher, lecturer, computer scientist, and expert with years of experience in computer science and artificial intelligence.

Professor Andrzej Szeptycki

Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Science and Higher Education. A political scientist, professor, lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw, expert of Strategy Institute 2050.

Professor Janusz Szpytko

Director of the UNESCO Chair for Science, Technology, and Engineering Education at the AGH University. A coordinator of international projects fostering research and education development at the global level.

Waldemar Siwiński

President of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence, an organisation monitoring global university rankings. Creator of polish education rankings and founder of the Perspektywy Education Foundation, publishing the prestigious University Ranking each year.

Anis Atig

a graduate of the Cracow University of Technology. A Tunisian-Polish architect with over 16 years of experience working on high-profile architectural projects across Poland and internationally. He participated in the Erasmus programme at Ecole Boulle in Paris. He also holds a diploma from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), which helped him thrive in international environments. His area of expertise includes urban planning as well as cultural, commercial, and residential projects. Currently, he is developing an innovative start-up focused on modular construction, combining his architectural knowledge with modern technologies.

Ummet Avci

a graduate of the University of Gdańsk. From 2021-2023, he completed a master's degree in international business. His time at the university was a transformative experience that not only broadened his academic knowledge, but also significantly shaped his professional path. During his studies, he participated in a four-month internship at State Street, where he gained practical experience in the financial sector. Then he worked for a year at PepsiCo in the Financial Planning and Analysis Department. Currently, he works as a financial analyst at Cisco. Studying at a Polish university allowed him to have a successful international career.

Kudzai Chigubu

a graduate of the Cracow University of Economics, an entry-level finance professional from Zimbabwe. He currently works as a credit risk analyst-financial controller at Autodesk, a leading US technology company in the global design and manufacturing sector. Prior to this position, he gained valuable experience at State Street and Shell, a well-known global energy corporation, where he started working as an intern still being a student. After graduation, he became a collections analyst in Shell's revenue department, he got promoted to senior analyst, and then took up credit risk assessment for three years while continuing his part-time master studies.

Cyril Junior Dim

a graduate of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology with a degree in Computer Science. He is a software developer, a corporate trainer and professional keynote speaker with his own international company based in Poland. He is also a key account manager in e-Commerce for Scandiweb, an international firm with its seat in Riga, Latvia. His responsibility is to foster strategic partnerships with the company’s clients in the USA, Europe, and the Middle East.

Buse Ilhan Ismihan

a graduate of the Łódź University of Technology with a master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction. An IT security specialist and data analyst in cyber security / identity and access management in Nordea Bank.

 

Valentina Khodas

a graduate of the Kozminski University, a seasoned FP&A manager with a dynamic 3.5-year journey at Warner Bros. Discovery, advancing from an intern to a senior role. A former marketing and admission analyst. She is known for agility, adaptability, and a proactive 'ready to do' attitude. She is a fast learner and has a strong work ethic, analytical prowess, and precise communication skills to drive effective decision-making.

Olga Kulish

a graduate of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology with a BA and MA in New Media Art. Being a holder of a PhD in Economics, she wanted to expand her expertise in creative technologies and design. Since her third year of studies, she has been involved with PJATK's Promotion and Enrolment Department, gaining valuable on-hands experience in public relations. Her projects combine art and technology, enhanced by cultural sensitivity and an international perspective.

Artur Lax

a graduate of the Cracow University of Technology. A structural designer at GSBK Design Office, responsible for creating computational models, BIM models, and drawing documentation of building structures.

Maatla Letsholo

a graduate of the AGH University of Krakow with a degree in Geology. He may pride himself in having an impressive professional path that has led him to his current role of exploration/country manager at Galileo Resources PLC, where he has been working since 2018. He oversees exploration programmes targeting copper-silver mineralisation and manganese projects in Botswana. Through his work with leading international companies such as Galileo Resources, Bezant Resources, and Africa Pioneer, Maalta has gained extensive expertise in the resource exploration industry, contributing significantly to the development of Botswana’s mineral sector.

Ashutosh Mukerji

a graduate of the AGH University of Krakow, where he acquired technical education that became the foundation of his dynamic career. Currently, he works as a site reliability engineer (SRE) in the world’s largest private bank, where his skills in managing complex systems and solving problems play a crucial role. As an international graduate, Ashutosh has leveraged his determination and adaptability to succeed in a global environment, making him an inspiration for other young professionals.

Futo Murata

a graduate of the University of Agriculture in Krakow with a master’s degree in Environmental Protection. After university, he started working as a consultant for Pacific Consultants, a Japanese company conducting research on climate change. He has developed renewable energy projects and provided capacity building activities concerning carbon credit and carbon pricing. He has contributed to the promotion of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), implemented under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. His work experience includes business trips to countries such as Palau, Maldives, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Chile. Starting March 2025, he is going to work for the United Nations.

Bakyt Orozbaev

a graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a PhD in Physical Sciences. A specialist at the Commission on Transport Policy and Development Strategy at the Organisation for Co‑operation between Railways (OSJD), Warsaw. He runs his own company called Poland-Central Asia Scientific Recruitment “BILIM” Bakyt Orozbaev.

Karim Otrok

a graduate of the Łódź University of Technology. A Palestinian Lebanese who relocated to Poland to pursue education at Łódź University of Technology, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. To deepen his understanding of global operations, he completed a master's degree in Operations Management. He currently works as a global order management subject matter expert at Philips, leading initiatives to streamline supply chain processes and drive greater efficiency across diverse markets.

Elina Pyrohova

a graduate of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology with a BA in New Media Art. In 2022, she received a scholarship and has become a member of The Type Directors Club for her commitment and achievements in typography. She was a finalist in the international poster competition “Mut Zur Wut” in Berlin. In November 2024, her designs were presented at the Berlin Science Week. Her illustrations and comics are regularly published in the Pismo magazine.

Rajat Dogra

a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology. He began his studies in Poland in 2018, graduating as an electrical engineer. In 2019, he received a research scholarship and the opportunity to attend a summer school at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is currently working as a data architect consultant at a multinational technology company engaged in e-commerce, cloud computing, online advertising, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. In September 2024, he started a master's programme in Data Science and Business Analytics at the University of Warsaw, where he actively works with specialists from leading global companies.

Svitlana Sovinska

a graduate of the Cracow University of Technology, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology. She won the 9th edition of the INTERSTUDENT 2019 competition in the category Best Foreign Student (category of doctoral studies). She currently works at CANPACK S.A. as a chemical laboratory manager. The experience gained during her studies and internship in the field of electrochemistry has played a key role in her work at CANPACK, especially in the characterisation of aluminium cans and their protective coatings.

Katerina Streltsova

a graduate of the University of Gdańsk, where she studied International Business. The interdisciplinary nature of her programme gave her a well-rounded perspective on international economic relations. After university, she began her career at Refinitiv, an LSEG business, which allowed her to deepen her understanding of financial markets and data analytics. She was then offered to join State Street, where she further developed her skills in the OTC financial sector. She currently works in alternative investments in fund accounting at BNY Mellon.

Dmitrii Viatkin

a graduate of the AGH University of Krakow, a software engineer, who currently works as a gaming support agent. He spends his free time learning game development and programming in Unreal Engine 5, which would not have been possible without the knowledge he gained at university. His technical skills make it much easier for him to help gamers, and thanks to his studies at the AGH University, he can expand his knowledge as a programmer and developer.
